Good morning!
Teens, WAKE UP! It's already half past nine and the sun is shining!
What a day I had yesterday! I kicked off my day by having a morning coffee with my friend A. at Starbucks (you can visit his blog HERE), then I had to go to a class during lunch break (it sucked). When the class was over, I had a late lunch with one of my best friends J. and, when we were ready, me, her and other three friends of ours went to Parque das Nações to assign for a job in a Human Research Department that's located down there.
After that I met my mother at El Corte Inglés for a fashion show where they were presenting the best items for this Spring/Summer from the brands that are sold down there. It was great! I loved some the bikinis and the collection from Gant is amazing!
Then, I had dinner at my friend's C. house and we both went to Music Box with so many other friends of ours to watch the launching of the EP of Asterisco Cardinal Bomba Caveira.
They were amazing! And one of the guitar players is one good friend of mine. I was right on the front row and I had so much fun! After that I came home, I was so exhausted.
Today is going to be a busy day too. This morning I'm going to the Finances so I have a method of payment for the job that I assigned for yesterday and that starts today's afternoon. Then I have to go to classes. After that, me and my friends are going to work. Basically, we just need to distribute chocolates within some enterprises between five and nine p.m. How though of a job is that? Not at all. Working with my friends is going to be so much fun, I'm so excited!
Tomorrow morning I am going to interview Carolina Flores from last minute dreams. I couldn't be more thrilled about it and I know it's going to be an amazing experience. And I promise to post the interview here til Sunday.
Have an awesome day!
xx

Home Sweet Home ♥
Coming back home was not an easy task for me. Getting my life back together turned out to be harder than what I thought it would be. During the past three weeks I lost track of how many doctors I've seen (the last time I saw them was right before summer started). I have a massive amount of stuff that I need to do for Uni and there are still many people that I want to see. Getting all my stuff done has definitely been a tough job.
But coming back home has been an amazing journey. Going to class and seeing those familiar faces again couldn't be more comforting. Coming home, exhausted after Uni, and having an home made meal ready to be eaten, never felt like it did before. Meeting my friends everyday makes me realize how the last six months didn't affect our friendship at all. Waking up in my own comfy bed is the best feeling in the world. And I actually missed being awaken by my parents every morning with the sound of the shower and their voices right in front of my bedroom.
And, for my surprise, my parents decided to operate some big changes in my bedroom after Christmas, while I was still in Madrid, during my period of exams. When I got here my walls were freshly painted (my bedroom smelled like brand-new), I had a chariot ready to be filled with my favorite clothes has an element of decoration and I had a huge space between my shelves where I now have my make-up and jewelry. But there's still a lot to be done. I need to find new lamps, mirrors and some new decoration. My bedroom is still a little empty. But I'm sure that a trip to IKEA is going to solve my "bedroom problem".

I'M BACK! And I'm not going anywhere else this time.
GOOD MORNING TEENS! How is everybody doing? Good, I hope. An amazing and busy week is about to get started and I couldn't be more excited about it!
First of all, I have to say I'M SO SORRY for disappearing after coming back to Portugal. My first three weeks here were absolutely insane and I didn't have time for posting. Getting my life back on track was not an easy task but I made it! Everything is much more calm now and I have time to do one of the things that I love the most: blogging.
Since I got here, I had the chance to see almost everyone that I haven't seen in such a long time, I had a crazy Carnival (where I had the chance to dress up as a cowgirl, a "Black Swan" ballet dancer and a 10 year-old kid), I got back to classes in my Uni (which has been amazing because now I have classes with some of my best friends), I had a couple of family dinners, I did a photo shoot with my cousin, met some friends for coffee and watched some soccer matches from my beloved team Benfica. So, this is why I haven't posted anything lately and I'm so sorry for it and I missed it a lot. But now I'm here and I promise I'm not going anywhere this time.
And this blog is about to improve a lot and it's about to get even cooler than what it was before. I have been thinking about things that I want to start posting/writing here and I have been having many great ideas. So, from now on, you can expect so much more from here and so much more amazing stuff than you were expecting before. Not only will I continue posting songs, photos, fashion and urban stuff like I did before, I'll start posting interviews to other bloggers, articles, event covers, recipes, some of my favorite things and so much more. And everything (almost) on a daily basis!!
Teens, I'm so happy to be back and to have the chance to post again. I hope that my blog doesn't let you down and I hope you keep visiting my "little corner of dazzling stuff" as much as you did before. Thanks for reading this and I hope you have an incredible week!
xoxo

Last post before going home.
I never thought I would find the strength to write anything here by now. It's four minutes past five in the morning and this is the last time I write from my bedroom in Madrid. I can not believe my Erasmus is over. In four hours and a half I leave on a bus with Lisbon has its last destination.
Can you believe? Five months. And how they went by so fast. And so many good memories and so many people I will remind with all my love for the rest of my life.
All this time I was here I never had a moment that I wanted to give up or just go back to Lisbon. Thank God I had the chance to have this experience, I am so thankful.
My bedroom might now empty but my walls are full of stories. I remember the first day that I got here and how nervous I was. It was my first time away from home. But there were sometimes that I felt that home was here. And of course there were times I missed my parents, my family and my friends but the people I met here made this story unforgettable, incredible and fulfilling.
I have to say that there were many times that I felt alone but I found true company in myself and I reflected a lot about what was happening to me and what this experience was teaching me. And being in a residence instead of a home-stay or with other Portuguese people helped it a lot because when I wanted to be alone I would just go to my bedroom and be alone for has much time has I wanted (though I had people knocking on my door every five minutes).
The people you meet when you are out of your comfort zone for so long just naturally become your family. They start to be the people you count to have meals with, to go for walks, to go shopping, just to hang out or go for a coffee, and, or course, to party, rage, get drunk, and just forget about the world. And they also become your greatest friends and people you can count on all the time, probably because they are in the same situation has you are and they find a safe place with you. The bounding becomes natural and you start to see them more has a family then your friends. For that tim you're away, they are all that you have. And they become part of moments you will hold in your heart forever.
But being away from home has its ups and downs too. I wanted to shoot myself when I found myself at the hospital the other day because of my gastroenteritis, full of sick people. I hate hospitals. And of course you have your own ups and downs. Everyday is not pink, rainbows and with the sun smiling at you. You just have to figure out how to deal with yourself and your own issues but, most of all, find a way to balance everything in your head and calm down. And when you feel sad or lonely, or you find yourself in a really bad day, you just have to remember the good times and how lucky you are to have the chance to have such an amazing experience.
I will never forget the first time I went to Kapital (the disco with seven floors); all the concerts I've seen (Katy Perry, 30 Seconds to Mars and Kanye West, M.I.A., Ke$ha and Steve Aoki); the first time I went out in Madrid, specifically to Joy, where my jaw dropped when I say an almost naked woman dancing inside a huge champagne glass; the first time I had croquetas, which are one my favorite foods in the entire world by now; my first night and how I slept terribly; all my classes, my teachers and my classmates, who were always really helpful; the only time I went to Mercado de San Miguel with two Portuguese friends of mine who were visiting, where I stuffed myself with such good food; the only time I went to Sala Heineken to see The Zombie Kids which was one of the wildest nights of my life (if you come to Madrid on a Wednesday make sure you go there, it's insane); the times I went to Orange Cafe on Wednesday nights and never felt to sweaty in my life; all the walks I did around the city and the marvelous places I had the chance to visit; and so many other things. But what I hold the most in my heart are the people I had the chance to meet during the last five months that totally changed my life. I made friends for life. I met people who changed me has a person and made me view that the world does not spin around me. I lived with a blind person in my residence and I always wanted to do as much as I could to help him and he made me see how lucky I am and how fortunate I am. Living with so many different people that come from so many different countries make you realize that the world isn't that big of a place and that, "even though we have hundreds of miles who separate us, we are not as different as we think", as a good Finish friend of mine would say. We are young. We all want to get to know this world and find our own place in it.
I'm not going to cry now, I don't even feel like doing it, but I know that I will cry a lot on the bus back home. And I have eight hours to digest everything that just happened during the past five months. I want to thank everyone for making me feel at home when I need the most. For being there for me when I was in "crazy mode". For being my family away from home. For all the moments we spent together and all the things we discovered together. All the laughs. All the tears. All the conversations. Everything that made me become the person I am today and that made me see that I'm much stronger than what I think and for believing in me when nobody else did.
By the way, I leave this place with a document which has 260 pages that hopefully I will have the chance to call book one day.
I love you all, from the bottom of my heart.
xx,
Rita <3

It's a Blair Affair! ♥
As everybody knows, I'm a HUGE Leighton Meester fan! Not only because she plays Blair on Gossip Girl and I'm totally in love with her character, but also because she is such a fashion inspiration to me, on and off-screen. Let's get down to business, who is the girl who hasn't already envied her character's closet or her amazing sense of style? She's so incredible.
I've to say that Gossip Girl owned my heart since the first episode. I started watching it even before it came out on TV in Portugal and, since then, my Mondays haven't been the same. And Blair has always been my favorite character. I which I could have her attitude, her closet ... and Chuck, of course.
But sometimes we forget that there's a person behind the character. Leighton is such a loving and humble person off-screen. You can tell that she is totally funny but a hard worker at the same time. Besides playing Blair like nobody else could does, she stars in two movies, Country Strong and The Rommate, already out in the USA. The last one is about a totally psycho girl, Rebecca, who obsesses over her roommate, Sara (played by Minka Kelly). I watched the trailer and I have to say that it's kinda scary.
Leighton was also the cover girl for this month's issue of NYLON MAGAZINE. Her photo shoot (by Marvin Scott Jarrett) is so cute and her pictures are stunning. You can check out the video made by NYLON TV about this incredible girl and a short video about the launching of February's NYLON Party below. It's so curious how actress Michelle Trachtenberg, who played Georgina on Gossip Girl, where their characters couldn't stand each other, is actually one of Leighton's best friends. It's impossible not to love her.

Terry Richardson's Powerful Pics
One of my favorite photographers in the world is Terry Richardson. My best friend Z. (who owns THIS amazing blog) introduced me to him a couple of years ago and, since then, I've always been a great fan of his work. He has already photographed so many people that I look up to, such as Lily Donaldson, Jessica Stam, Lara Stone, Lily Cole, Daisy Lowe and so many more. All of his pictures have a special taste. They are really tragic and beautiful at the same time.
But his photos are not only about people. He also photographs things that transmit strong messages and that inspire his job. I was going through his diary this morning and I colected a bunch of pictures that I want to share with you. They are amazing and so shocking. If you want to get to know more about his work, don't forget to visit his diary HERE. And, in the end, there's a video about his vision on Luxury and Taste. You might get a lesson from that one.
