Teens, 2011 is finally coming to an end and I couldn't be more excited about 2012. I'm going to end my course in the end of January and I'm still trying to figure out what to do next. Working? Carrying on with mys studies? I don't know yet. What I really need to focus on until the end of next month is studying so I can get good grades.

5 o'clock tea at the Palace

Yesterday afternoon, me and my best friend Z. had an amazing 5 o'clock tea at the Hotel Avenida Palace, a magical hotel in downtown Lisbon. Everything was sooo good. We had scones, cake, little cupcakes, tea and hot chocolate. We had so much fun, we really felt like we were on Gossip Girl ahah. Here are some pictures we took. Enjoy :)

Model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looks absolutely stunning in the December-January issue of Harper’s Bazaar US. I think that the photos look fabulous, and so does this British beauty in those beyond beautiful clothes, full of tribal prints, from many well-known houses like Burberry Prorsum, Bottega Veneta, Giorgio Armani and others.

MONDAY AFTERNOON AT THE SHOWROOM

Last Monday I was lucky enough to do my first trip to a showroom! Yeyy! So happy that my blog is growing really fast (and all because of you :) ). I went to Companhia das Soluções Showroom for what was an amazing afternoon spent with other bloggers.
The girls who worked there, who were really nice to me, showed me the pieces from Lacoste, Camel, Moschino, Miss Sixty, Bench, and many more, that were in exposition. I saw a lot of things that I would love to have in my own closet. And I came home with THIS watch from KOMONO that I fell in love with since the first time I saw it! Pretty cool, right?
It was a lovely afternoon. We ate sushi, drank tea, talked about our fashion experiences. It was wonderful... I really want to have more experiences like this one. I love my blogger life so much.

My week's TOP 5!

I made a promise. Actually I made two.

The first one is to go to Tomorrowland 2011 in Belgium with my best friends. The other one is that, from tomorrow on, I will really start studying and taking Uni stuff more seriously. There are only three months left, how hard can it be? I know I can do it and I'm starting to get excited about it. Three months and I'm done with studying and I can have my weekends with nothing to do back.

I have to say that my last three days were awesome. I spent them with my friends, away from Uni, and I had so much fun. But the cherry on top of my week was yesterday night, when my friends and I celebrated my best friend Mariana's birthday! It was insaneee! We first had dinner all together and then we went to ISCTE (her Uni) to one of the wildest parties of the year. We had so much fun! We listened to such good music and we danced all night. I really missed it. Since some of my greatest friends are done with Uni, and they have already started working, I only see them once or twice a week. So, whenever we are together, it's really intense and it's a big relief from the week we had. I just love all of them.

It started raining today, so I spent my entire afternoon putting my Winter clothes in my chariot. My bedroom looks even cozier. Now I need to plan next week but first I leave you with my week's top 5! Enjoy!

Not enought time.

Possibly the three words that discribe my life the best right now.

I find myself running from one place to another, from Uni, to work, and then finally home in the end of the day, when I literally eat and go to bed.

My days have been caothic. My day starts at seven in the morning when my alarm clock rings and I jump in the shower, still sleeping, while the radio is on. Then I have breakfast with my parents and I know that, when I go out the door, right after brushing my teeth, combing my hair, putting on make-up and having a second shower of perfum, I won't stop until the end of the day.

Uni is driving me crazy. It's not that I don't like the subjects...ok, who am I trying to fool? I only like one or two. But I'm really trying to make an effort to like the other ones, or at least to pay attention during classes. But I don't feel any motivation at all. It's my last semester and it should totally be the other way around. I should be literaly jumping because I'll graduate in three months. But I'm still so far way. So many exams, so many works,... I really hate this feeling and I want to do better in Uni so I can have good grades. I just can't fail any of the subjects I'm doing.

This is my last chance. There is no other way around. It's now or never. But it's also my last chance to party like a G6. My last days as a student. Everything will be getting so much serious soon! But I can't wait to stop studying and start getting practical. I have to get good grades so I can have the internship I want (I'll tell you my options later). I'm starting to see myself more as a woman and that's good. I'm proud of all my achievements.

But, even though I'm tired of Uni, I'm not tired of my new work at all. I'm working as a room assistant at Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and I'm loving it! Seriously, I've met so many nice people there and everyone as been so kind to me. And I've already learnt so much!

Besides that, if anyone sees my gym, give it my best regards and tell it I really miss it.

Well, this is my diary for today. I need to get into bed soon because I'll be waking up in seven hours. Going to watch Gossip Girl's new episode and then sleep.

By the way, I'm reading a book called Fashion Now 2, from Taschen, on fashion designers from around the world and I'm enjoying it so much! I really want to learn as much as I can about fashion and reading books is a great way to do it. I've been reading about the house of Balenciaga and Chanel and so much more interesting stuff. It's one of the best ways to end my day.

Yesterday afternoon I attended the Fashion Awards 2011 Press Conference at Hotel Tivoli in downtown Lisbon. It was great to see some familiar faces from Fashion Week! It also was my first press conference so I was really excited about it.

The second edition of the event is going to be on November 3rd at Tivoli Theather and it's going to gather all the people whose work had a distinguished place in the fashion industry in Portugal during 2011. The event is going to be transmited by Fashion TV, national and international, and the host for the night will be one of my favorite comediants of all times, Joaquim Monchique.

The judge's table is constituted by fifteen remarkable people whose work is fashion related and is known inside and outside of Portugal, such as Paula Mateus, editor-in-chief of Vogue Portugal, Eduarda Abbondanza, ModaLisboa director, and Francisco Maria Balsemão, Portugal Fashion president.

Owner of the blog Last Minute Dreams, a little piece of heaven for fashion, music, photography, art and design lovers on the cyberspace, she studies Product Design at Lisbon Fine Arts School. She describes herself as calm, proud, friendly and a dreamer. But there’s still a lot more to discover about this 21 year-old girl.

Why the name “Last Minute Dreams” for your blog?
Last Minute Dreams was the first name that popped up in my head and it just seemed right. My main goal was, and still is, sharing "last minute" information that I think it's interesting.

What was the biggest “Dream” that your blog already provided you?
Knowledge and information, and a lot of opportunities!

Design, fashion, art. Which one of them define you the best?
None of them describes me by itself, alone. It's the three of them working together! They are in my daily life at the same level.

Who are your favourite artists? Why?
So many names! Too many!! Everyday I learn new references and names from the world of fashion, art, design, photography, etc... In the world of the arts: Pedro Matos, Conor Harrington, Anthony Lister, Kaws, Shepard Farey, Andy Warhol, etc… Photography: Ryan McGinley, Hedi Slimane, Viktor Vauthier, Saga Sig, Tamara Lichtenstein, Mary Ellen Mark, Lina Scheynius, David Shama, Masha Mel etc... A lot of these photographers are also fashion photographers! Design wise, the names are endless.

What are your biggest sources of inspiration?
Travelling, websites and blogs, magazines, books, people, just walking on the streets, looking around...

What do you think is the power of the “blogosphere” nowadays?
I think that blogs get more power every single day and it has good and bad consequences. It's hard to stand out and be original. There are more bad blogs rather than good blogs… but they are an amazing source of information, and they have the extraordinary power of setting trends!

Which blogs do you ready everyday?
I have an endless list of blogs! Street Style and Tumblrs are my favorites. I like blogs that transmit any type of visual culture and knowledge/information. Those are the ones that I prefer.

What do you think are going to be the major Street Style items for the next season? Maxi skirts, jumpers and, thought I don't like them that much, Jeffrey Campbell Litta are going to be a major item for sure.

What are your favourite brands/stores? Why?
CHANEL for their power of innovating in every single season and, when we look at their pieces, we can distinguish the extraordinaire classic refinement that has been a Chanel signature since the brand's very beginning. ACNE (I always love their collections), BALMAIN, CHLOÉ, CÉLINE, JILL SANDER (for its simplicity), MARNI (fantastic foot-wear), Opening Ceremony, RAG & BONE, Zadig Et Voltaire. I also like less expensive brands, like TOPSHOP, URBAN OUTFITTERS, MONKI…

What do you always bring with you when you leave the house?
Lipstick, cellphone, music, moleskine pen and rings.

In Lisbon, where are you most likely to be found?
I'm always in downtown Lisbon...everyday and I love it!

What’s your favourite book?

The Shadow of the Wind written by Carlos Ruiz Zafón

Which singers/bands can we find on your iPod?

A huge variety! I like Indie, Indie Rock, Electronic, Alternative music… I have more than 10.000 songs, it's hard to choose just a few bands.

What’s your dream trip?

Iceland...

In which city do you see yourself living in the future? Why?
I picture myself living in London and I'll do whatever it takes for that to happen as soon as possible! I identify myself 100% with the city and the people! It's crazy, a lot of movement everywhere, art and fashion in every single corner. It's London for sure!

If you could have dinner with three people, dead or alive, who would they be?
Edie Sedwick, Coco Chanel and Andy Warhol.

If you could own the world for a day what would you do?
I would travel, eat the best food, I would see the best exhibitions and do the best shopping!

Time Out Lisboa Magazine 4th Birthday Party

Last Friday night, as I already said, was insane. Sommer Palace in Lisbon opened its doors to receive the incredible birthday party of Time Out Lisboa Magazine. It was a night to remember, at least for the ones who didn't drink too much at the open bar.

The theme was Casino, like the ones from the 50's. All of the staff was dressed to impress and so were a lot of people that didn't miss what I would call the party of the year.

I went with my cousin Afonso and we had an awesome time. It was a warm night, the view was amazing and the music was rockin' the house down. The palace was fully decorated with red and blue lights, you had a lot of bars to chose from and crazy people to have fun with. I saw many famous people, like the blogger from "A Pipoca Mais Doce" and the TV presenter Ana Rita Clara herself, who I had the chance to talk to.

I had so much fun and I hope I can attend the party next year! Here are some photos I took.

After spending my entire week in class, I had a lot of free time during the weekend, which starts on Friday because I don't have class. Friday night was a blast, I went to Time Out Lisboa Magazine 4th Birthday Party with my cousin Afonso. We had an amazing time and I'm doing a blog post about the party tomorrow, so many cool pictures to show you. Saturday I slept til late and spent the afternoon with my best friend Zé (check his blog HERE) shopping - he is the best fashion adviser you can have - and spent the night cooking dinner for myself and updating MY TUMBLR. It was a calm night for me. And, today, after sleeping until lunch time, I went to an exposition at MUDE (a design and fashion museum in Lisbon) and then shopped for a bit with my parents at Massimo Dutti.

I'm going to spend the rest of my evening preparing this next week. Lisbon Fashion Week is coming and I'm so curious about the collections that will be presented and to see what everyone's going to be wearing! And next Thursday is my first day at work as a room assistant at Calouste Gulbenkian Fundation and I'm so excited about it! As you can see, I have a pretty busy week ahead, but I promise to update my blog everyday.

Earlier this week I was contacted to participate in a campaign for the Australian wool brand Woolmark called "Fashion by Feelings", which encourages people, including fashion bloggers from all over the world, to style outfits with clothes made from wool and post their looks on the site We Love Wool. What you need to do is to choose what you're feeling, like unique, happy, chic, beautiful, natural, and then post your look, that has to have at least one item made from wool, on the website. I think it's an incredible campaign that teaches that wool is a natural and renewable fiber and for me it's one of the most confortable materials you can find.

I thought I should participate because, first of all I loved the campaign, and, besides, one of my favorite clothing materials is wool and I have plenty of clothes made from it. So, I chose to feel beautiful and I posted this picture on the website. What do you think?

My bedroom's Tea Corner ♥

As I already said, I l-o-v-e having people around me. And I'd rather have my friends coming over to my house to talk than going to a night club where I don't listen to a thing they say. So I decided to create this tea corner in my bedroom, because, especially during Winter, there's nothing like chocolate and a cup of tea to make you feel good and cosy. It's a thing that I finally finished today and I know me and my friends are going to use it a lot during the next cold months, having sleepovers, watching Gossip Girl and having long talks with our tea to make us warm.

The Food Corner #1: CHARCUTARIA MOY

For those who don't know, I'm a big fan of cooking. I'm not a BIG cooker (I still have a lot to learn) but I just love to have my friends coming to my place to try what I felt like cooking that day. I'd rather invent my own creations than following others rules. For me it's a lot of fun! So that's why I started "The Food Corner", to show you where I like to buy stuff when I cook. One of my number one spots is Charcutaria Moy: a gourmet store, placed between Príncipe Real and Largo do Camões in Lisbon, where you can find all types of cheese, jams, tea, chocolate, dressings, coffee from many different countries, wine and so much more interesting stuff to improve your cooking skills. What I like the most there are the big bowls of Kusmi Tea, the salad dressings and the diversity of pastas they offer. It's a little expensive but it's totally worth the price. If you're a big fan of cooking, even if you're not Portuguese, when you come to Lisbon make sure you visit this place. I'm sure you will love it as much as I do!

Madrid, 1 year after.

Teens, today is an important date to me. Exactly one year ago I started my Erasmus experience in Madrid, one of the craziest experiences of my life. I will never forget it and I miss it a lot. I miss the people I met, the places I visited and I'm blessed to have had the chance to live five months abroad. Those five months will remain in my heart forever.

So, to celebrate this date, today I'm posting the last text that I wrote on the blog just some hours before I came home in February, five months after everything started. I haven't been in Madrid since then but I know that city has a special place in my heart.

(p.s. - I haven't started correcting my book yet but I'm trying my best to find some time to do it.)

Last post before going home.

I never thought I would find the strength to write anything here by now. It's four minutes past five in the morning and this is the last time I write from my bedroom in Madrid. I can not believe my Erasmus is over. In four hours and a half I leave on a bus with Lisbon has its last destination.

Can you believe? Five months. And how they went by so fast. And so many good memories and so many people I will remind with all my love for the rest of my life.

All this time I was here I never had a moment that I wanted to give up or just go back to Lisbon. Thank God I had the chance to have this experience, I am so thankful.

My bedroom might now empty but my walls are full of stories. I remember the first day that I got here and how nervous I was. It was my first time away from home. But there were sometimes that I felt that home was here. And of course there were times I missed my parents, my family and my friends but the people I met here made this story unforgettable, incredible and fulfilling.

I have to say that there were many times that I felt alone but I found true company in myself and I reflected a lot about what was happening to me and what this experience was teaching me. And being in a residence instead of a home-stay or with other Portuguese people helped it a lot because when I wanted to be alone I would just go to my bedroom and be alone for has much time has I wanted (though I had people knocking on my door every five minutes).

The people you meet when you are out of your comfort zone for so long just naturally become your family. They start to be the people you count to have meals with, to go for walks, to go shopping, just to hang out or go for a coffee, and, or course, to party, rage, get drunk, and just forget about the world. And they also become your greatest friends and people you can count on all the time, probably because they are in the same situation has you are and they find a safe place with you. The bounding becomes natural and you start to see them more has a family then your friends. For that tim you're away, they are all that you have. And they become part of moments you will hold in your heart forever.

But being away from home has its ups and downs too. I wanted to shoot myself when I found myself at the hospital the other day because of my gastroenteritis, full of sick people. I hate hospitals. And of course you have your own ups and downs. Everyday is not pink, rainbows and with the sun smiling at you. You just have to figure out how to deal with yourself and your own issues but, most of all, find a way to balance everything in your head and calm down. And when you feel sad or lonely, or you find yourself in a really bad day, you just have to remember the good times and how lucky you are to have the chance to have such an amazing experience.

I will never forget the first time I went to Kapital (the disco with seven floors); all the concerts I've seen (Katy Perry, 30 Seconds to Mars and Kanye West, M.I.A., Ke$ha and Steve Aoki); the first time I went out in Madrid, specifically to Joy, where my jaw dropped when I say an almost naked woman dancing inside a huge champagne glass; the first time I had croquetas, which are one my favorite foods in the entire world by now; my first night and how I slept terribly; all my classes, my teachers and my classmates, who were always really helpful; the only time I went to Mercado de San Miguel with two Portuguese friends of mine who were visiting, where I stuffed myself with such good food; the only time I went to Sala Heineken to see The Zombie Kids which was one of the wildest nights of my life (if you come to Madrid on a Wednesday make sure you go there, it's insane); the times I went to Orange Cafe on Wednesday nights and never felt to sweaty in my life; all the walks I did around the city and the marvelous places I had the chance to visit; and so many other things. But what I hold the most in my heart are the people I had the chance to meet during the last five months that totally changed my life. I made friends for life. I met people who changed me has a person and made me view that the world does not spin around me. I lived with a blind person in my residence and I always wanted to do as much as I could to help him and he made me see how lucky I am and how fortunate I am. Living with so many different people that come from so many different countries make you realize that the world isn't that big of a place and that, "even though we have hundreds of miles who separate us, we are not as different as we think", as a good Finish friend of mine would say. We are young. We all want to get to know this world and find our own place in it.

I'm not going to cry now, I don't even feel like doing it, but I know that I will cry a lot on the bus back home. And I have eight hours to digest everything that just happened during the past five months. I want to thank everyone for making me feel at home when I need the most. For being there for me when I was in "crazy mode". For being my family away from home. For all the moments we spent together and all the things we discovered together. All the laughs. All the tears. All the conversations. Everything that made me become the person I am today and that made me see that I'm much stronger than what I think and for believing in me when nobody else did.

By the way, I leave this place with a document which has 260 pages that hopefully I will have the chance to call book one day.

TOMORROWLAND is one of my favorite festivals in the entire world. It is held in Boom, Antwerp, Belgium and it lasts for three days. The artists are on stage from midday until 1 a.m., so you basically spend your entire day PARTYIIING! Isn't it great? The minimum age to enter the festival is 18 and every year they invest a lot of effort in decorating the festival area, which is a big contribution to the whole TOMORROWLAND experience. The festival also offers a big number of facilities like lockers, ATM, toilets, parking and a camping area, called DreamVille, with proper conditions (see HERE). The tickets for the three days of the festival are 135€ + 4,25€ fee. The tickets for just one day are 62,5€ + 4,25€ fee.

Throughout the years, the number of people who attend the festival as become bigger and bigger. This year, during the weekend of 22, 23 and 24 July, more than 180,000 visitors attended this beautiful festival, one of the most talked about in Europe. The magic location was the stage for more than 250 artists, big names like Afrojack, Carl Cox, Fedde le Grand, Steve Aoki, Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, Faithless, Tiësto, Laidback Luke, David Guetta and 2 Many DJ's.

The Music Issue #1 - KANYE WEST

There are no words to describe how much I love Kanye West. His songs are beyond powerful and the lyrics are just genius. This American rapper (and also record producer), who is now 34 years-old, released his debut album The College Dropout in 2004. Then came his second album Late Registration in 2005, his third album Graduation two years after and his fourth album 808s&Heartbreak in 2008. His latest work, and his best work until now (in my opinion), is called My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and it was released last year. From this album my favorite songs are:

His five solo albums have all gone platinum. Kanye also released a collaborative album, Watch the Throne, with Jay-Z on August 8, 2011. The first song to have a music video is called OTIS, and it was preformed at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. Watching two of my favorite rappers preform together on TV was a moment of pure magic for me. Check this song music video out:

My favorite song of all times from this amazing artist is from the album Graduation and it's called Good Life. I fell in love with it from the first time I listened to it. I think it has a catchy beat and the lyrics are really powerful. It puts me in a good mood right from its first chords. The song features T-Pain, another artist that I like, and the video is really colorful and original.

This Summer I was lucky enough to have the chance to see him perform live at Sudoeste Festival. It was the best concert of my life and also my biggest adventure. I waited nine hours along with my friend Denise so we made sure we had a place directly in front of the stage, front row style. So we waited from half past three o'clock in the afternoon til half past midnight, when he finally showed up on stage. I always said if I ever had the chance to see Kanye it had to be on the front row!

It was an amazing concert, full of special effects, and he also had a group of amazing dancers! The show lasted for two hours and he sang ALL of his famous songs like Heartless, Jesus Walks, Touch The Sky, Stronger, as well as almost all of the songs from his latest album. It was so good, I will never forget it. If you want to know how Kanye's concerts look like, check this next videos, his concert at Coachella Festival last April. I'm sure you will love it! I already watched it over and over again, it brings me such good memories.

I think Kanye is an amazing artist, an urban legend and a really talented rapper. He created many memorable songs and videos that have already won many awards. His music represent a fantasy world to me and I know many of them by heart. I hope I have the chance to see him in concert again and, for me, he will always be one of the best men on the music business, influencing the world with his powerful music and voice. You just gotta love him.

TEENS! I'm back from an insane trip to Brazil and I have so much to tell you and a lot of pictures to show you! I'm going back to University next Tuesday and I'm really excited about this next semester, it's the last one before I start an internship.

I've planed some changes to the contents of the blog. I've always been a great fashion fan but my biggest interest above all has always been MUSIC, so I decided to have more posts about it. Today I felt inspired by two paintings from one of my favorite artists, Andy Warhol, that I have in my bedroom. Below you have the whole collection together, but I only have the red and blue one. I think the sentences written on those two are the ones that I identificate myself with the most. I love all of them and its free spirit made me create this look today. I hope you like.

Hoje senti-me inspirada por dois quadros de um dos meus artistas preferidos, Andy Warhol, que tenho no meu quarto. Abaixo podem ver a colecção toda junta, mas eu só tenho o encarnado e o azul. This is what I wore today. The purple shirt used to belong to the grandmother of a friend of mine that I met in Madrid. I don't know how old it is but its simplicity fascinates me. I love it. And I think that, with a black heigh-wasted skirt, it's a perfect match.

Isto foi o que vesti hoje. A camisa roxa pretencia à avó de uma amiga minha que conheci em Madrid. Não sei quantos anos tem mas a sua simplicadade fascina-me. Adoro. E acho que, com uma saia subida preta, faz uma combinação perfeita.

As summer gets closer and closer, my head tends to focus more on the beach and the Sun rather than my exams and works for uni. But this is the last effort that I need to do and there's nothing like getting out of an exam and think "another one down", just like it happened today when I got out of my Communication's Law test. I can't wait to go to Norway and then spend some days in Lisbon and, after that, go to Sudoeste Festival for some unforgetable days. But one step at the time.
Meanwhile, I'm obsessing over this song.

À medida que o Verão se aproxima, a minha cabeça tem tendência a estar mais focada na praia e no Sol do que nos testes e nos trabalhos da faculdade. Mas é um último esforço que tenho de fazer e não à nada como sair de um teste e pensar que "outro já está", tal como aconteceu hoje quando saí do meu teste de Direito da Comunicação. Mal posso esperar por ir para a Noruega e depois passar uns dias em Lisboa e seguir para o Sudoeste para uns dias inesquecíveis. Mas cada coisa a seu tempo.

As soon as I heard the first notes of this song, I fell in love with it. Her name is KAY and she is the new kid on the block. The beat is addictive, the lyrics are amazing and I'm sure she's going to be world wide known really soon.

This song has "Miss Indepent"'s rythm but, with these lyrics (in Portuguese), it became so much better. I fell in love with it from the first time I listened to it and the lyrics turned out to be really easy to learn. Now, I know it all by heart. And it's the perfect song to listen to when you are driving in your car to the beach, with the windows open, during Summertime. I tried it and I loved it. You should do it too!

This song reminds me of last Carnival in Sesimbra, where me and my friends spent four unforgetable nights together. During those days, we mainly listened to Brazilian music wherever we went out and this one was a favorite to dance to. And this song really marked our last night there, at a disco called Gliese, where we raged and partied our asses off while we reached the fifth level of ass shaking in this song ahahah
